This lovely Hyde park building is nestled in the heart of one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Cincinnati. As soon as we arrived and saw the stone facade we fell in love. The front door and original horizontal black hardware had been painted a deep red. We remedied this quickly with a soft, creamy white and stripped those metal pieces to bring back their lovely character. Upon entering the unit and seeing the sliding doors (in a cherry wood tone), we knew exactly what this home was calling out for. We painted the walls in a tinted, soft white and then came the sliding doors being painted white! It was an immediate transformation.  We rode the wave of the black door slider hardware and followed suit to change the light fixtures, knobs and added black curtain rods. We wanted a soft, airy feel with bleached woods and natural materials. Mixing antique furnishings with the new couch, rug and pillows created a warm farmhouse feel. We searched for a white marble table, sweet bedding and eclectic artwork which made sense for this space. We updated the kitchen with a pot rack over the stove, a table where base cabinets were missing and added reclaimed wood shelves with a new vertically situated backsplash.  Staging the kitchen was healing. We procured every single piece in this Airbnb unit.
