This bathroom was inspired by the owners extensive travel to Japan. She dreamed of a spa-like retreat filled with light in her galley style bathroom. We envisioned an eye-catching feature wall to add the drama of movement she craved. This woman was quiet and fierce all at the same time. When we presented the design, she hugged me so hard I couldn't breath. We brainstormed and then took her with us to hand pick her granite slab that became the focal point for her remodeled bathroom. The architectural draft set for this room was intense. When designing and building a modern, minimal space, every single detail must be thought through before construction begins. The tile layouts and placements were of the utmost of importance. We created a lit niche in the shower and flanked it with under cabinet lighting for the floating shelf at the bottom of the flat panel, modern vanity. White with black, vessel sinks, sconce lights and a transom window to allow the light from her bedroom to shine through. A curbless shower showcased the simplicity that was required in the clean lines of this room.
